That's interesting. Of course FOMO would lend itself to that; more points of contact, more networking and more socializing. Perfect sense.

You got the better end of the deal trust me. (God I love Europe)

My FOMO used to be so rampant in 2009 I'd go out even if I was exhausted and miserable. Several things put a stop to it. When I went to Europe, I was by myself pretty much the entire three months. I'd read updates on Twitter or Facebook and be sad about what I was missing out back home. I was afraid that people wouldn't remember me. Seriously. Then I got back and realized I missed pretty much nothing, and everyone would rather have been in Europe.

Second, my phone got really messed up in Europe. If I checked in on Foursquare, it drained a third of my battery life. So I stopped checking in. I had no idea what other people were doing, and I did what I wanted to do.

I still get it from time to time but I finally realized people try really hard to make sure everyone knows they're having fun rather than actually having fun.

On the plus side - that year of FOMO built out my professional network really well. It's probably the reason I have a job right now.

You just have to throw that Golden Dome in my face huh? That's fair.

Oh is that what happened? I rather have it that he was grabbing brews at that hour. Hero in my book really.

I just love that we live in a place where something like this could even happen. Kudos to us! :-)

Ha! My favorite line ever was that you were shocked that I owned a bike. I ride it too! Two weekends ago, Vikas and I even rode bikes to the Boulder Creek Path.

So Dan Pierson was actually jogging when he saw the suspect and chased him down to the LiquorMart.

If you and Clare ever want to ride bikes, give me a call! I'll follow you around in my car.
